2015 Competition Method

No change for competition method from 2014!!

As for the program of D1 Grand Prix Series 2015, Tanso Qualify ⇨ Tanso Final ⇨ Tsuiso ⇨ Qualify ⇨ Tsuiso Final will be operated as an order like last year. The number of people seeded, is the same as last year but in case of exceeding limited number participants, pre qualify may be taken place before Tanso qaulify.
The event at the special exhibit site venue will be taken place more than last year for 2015. Especially you can enjoy the real best part of Tanso and Tsuiso races at the second battle at Suzuka and the third battle at Tsukuba as these venues offer close view battle site.
For the scoring, “D1 original scoring system” called DOSS, judged by a machine will be used continuously, which was first introduced in 2013.
Because of this mechanical judge system, any competitor cannot cheat or miss, a racer has to take an offensive drive to get more points!! Plus speed, angle or stability is expected individually. So a competitor really has to focus on this session!
However, what was changed largely? For this season there is no limitation of participate number even at the special site venue except for the final match, which had some restriction of participate number last year.
Also, special treatment system for a new car or overseas participants has been brought in and any qualified person is be exempted from the qualify. This enable to widen another excitement of D1 Grand Prix. Furthermore, Pre qualify and then qualify will happen, adding one another session made at the pre qualify day before the final battle, which offers to show higher level performance.
Also, because the exemption of pre qualify is limited to 24th place, the battle striving for pre qualify will be added, which will deliver more intensive and exciting race!!

Tanso Pre-Qualify

The hot battle fighting for a small passage place!

Top 24 and the special treatment for a new car and participants from foreign countries are exempted!

In case much participation number of people, pre qualify is carried out before qualify.
2 runs of drive are delivered at the session and the order is decided by DOSS and the total marking by judges in the same way as qualify.
The best of 24 heads in the series at the end of previous match (for the opening match, top 24th at the end of previous year series) and the special treatment for a new car and participants from overseas are exempted!
Due to the no participation number of people restrictions, it gives opportunity to much number of racers, therefore, more participated to be anticipated. It needs to be considered how you use the time for practice within the limited time and how to be paired off for 2 runs at the session. We can’t wait to see this intensive hot battle!

Tanso Qualify

Survival Tanso Race!

Trying to make the final 16 at qualify.

The best of 8 heads in the series at the end of previous match (for the opening match, top 8th at the end of previous year series) are exempted from the qualify and first competition is taken place by participants under 9 place in case of no pre qualify happen. As 24 drivers may go to the Tanso final including qualify exemption, 16 drivers can go up from qualify. The number of places has been increased since 2014 but top drivers who are exempted from the qualify will join, it gives a harder burden. This makes the show more excited in seeing the participants taking once chance or significant performance.
As DOSS that judges any mistakes is used, a racer has to manage the best 2 runs together.
Tanso final is carried out with heads of 24 including 16 pilots who win the qualify and 8 seeded.
One drive is carried at the session. A driver has to manage the best performance according to the DOSS system.

Tanso Final

精鋭24名が1本勝負の極上単走で魅せる!

上位8名は翌日の追走予選が免除に!

This is the competition that even heads of driver can not go to the top 16th last year and Tanso ranking effects the final positions as well as the match up of Tsuiso taken place following day (In case of lose at Tsuiso, top position place at Tanso go to high ranking position).

Tsuiso Qualify

Striving for Tsuiso final, battled with under 9 position at Tanso final

Uncompromising race with one chance!!

The minor Tsuiso has been discontinued since 2014 and Tsuiso qualify is delivered by top 16 drivers from 9th place to 24th place at Tanso final. The big difference of minor Tsuiso is that a driver can enter Tsuiso final. Despite a driver joins this session with making mistakes from Tanso final, there are some chance left to be able to turn the tables and get a champion if you continue to win at Tsuiso.
It will be the intensive battle with no rematch. That’s why the check drive first thing in the morning will drew a big attention. Furthermore, as the matchup is shown the day before, it is very interesting to know a strategy or set up built by each team. As any of driver beaten here is settled in between 17 place and 24 place, the real battles starts from here!
